Stop Smoking Hypnosis

What do we know about Stop Smoking Hypnosis? Well, basically these are psychological reinforcement type procedures, which are designed to help individuals deal with or reduce the cravings and negative psychological effects of the stop smoking process.

In other words, a psychological approach to stop smoking. Does it work? Some swear by it, but others swear it’s a waste of hard earned money. Of course, you could say smoking cigarettes is the biggest waste of hard earned money that has ever existed. 

The fact is, hypnosis has been used by hypnotherapists for many years to help people conquer fears, stress, and other problems in their lives. Hypnosis allows you to relax your mind while focusing on a particular problem, event, or issue in you life.

Hypnosis allows the client or patient to put forth a more concentrated focused effort towards addressing such problems. The hypnotherapist will focus on total and complete relaxation of the body and conscious mind in order to basically reach and reprogram the subconscious mind for a more desirable result.

Reprogramming the subconscious mind can change behavior. Anyone can be hypnotized. It’s simply the process of relaxing your mind to a point were your subconscious mind will accept a new suggestion of sorts. Hypnosis rarely has anything to do with swinging items in front of your eyes until you’re asleep.

If you choose to utilize hypnotherapy for treatment you can expect multiple sessions with a therapist as well as being sent home with reinforcement CDs to listen to. Cost of therapy varies greatly so we won’t give quotes. Just be certain to check references and credentials before forking out cash.

Using hypnosis to stop smoking does have a pretty high success rate, but it never hurts to use it along with other stop smoking aids like the gum and patches available. This is a tough habit to kick so use whatever methods you’re comfortable with to successfully end your habit. It’ll all pay off in the end.

Always develop your own non-smoker support group of friends and family you can call upon during times of weakness. Stop smoking hypnosis or any other aid has a much better chance at helping you succeed if you have a support group you can count on. Use all your resources, and you’ll succeed.

When thinking of treatments to combat depression, usinghypnosis for depression may not immediately spring to mind, but it can be a very effective depression treatment.

There are many misconceptions about hypnosis, so before we look closely at hypnosis for depressiontreatment, let us take a look at what hypnosis really is and try to debunk a few myths in theprocess.

Did you know that all of us at one time or another will experience a sort of hypnosis?

Have you ever daydreamed?

I suspect the answer is likely to be ‘Yes’ and if so then you have experienced a kind of hypnosis.Thinking of hypnosis like a kind of daydreaming, you can see that it is an altered state of consciousness but at the same time it is perfectly natural, and can occur often in normal people on a regular basis.

Hypnosis is nothing like the exaggerated forms we might see on television or films in which the subject is under the ‘control’ of the hypnotist. When a person undergoes hypnosis, they are in an altered state of awareness but are still FULLY aware of their actions and what is going on. You are not unconscious or asleep, or not in control of your actions and feelings when you experience hypnosis.

Another common misconception is that hypnosis is a form of mind control or brainwashing. This is complete nonsense. The subject is fully aware of what is going on and cannot be ‘controlled’ and any suggestions, good or otherwise, which are put to a subject can be freely accepted or rejected.

Finally, contrary to popular belief, it is impossible to become ‘stuck’ in hypnosis. The relaxed state which hypnosis brings about is ultimately controlled by the subject who can freely choose to come out of the hypnotic state at will. Any stories of a person being hypnotised and not being able to get out of it are utter fabrication and are not helpful to the cause of bona fide hypnotists or hypnotherapists.

Hypnotherapy self confidence-that’s the term we have coined for leveraging hypnosis andHypnotherapy can be used to build self confidence.

Hypnosis is a state of mind that most of us experience, just about every day of our lives, whether we are driving, daydreaming or are simply absorbed in a good book or film. It has also been termed the stage of ‘Flow’. Some people get into Flow when they are busy doing whatever they like.

Hypnotherapy is the process of using hypnosis to unlock the capacity of the unconscious mind to bring about a therapeutic change resulting in increase in self confidence. A skilled hypnotherapist brings this about by relaxing the conscious mind, guiding the individual intorelaxation and experiencing confident thoughts.

Self confidence is the belief a person has in their own ability. If someone has high self confidence they feel they are very capable and confident in their ability. We can lack confidence in a particular area. It could be speaking in public, interacting in social situations or anything else.

Lack of confidence can be caused by fear of failure. It can also be caused by being bullied or put down by someone. When we are about to enter a situation where we lack confidence we become very stressed and anxious.

Hypnotherapy is effective in building confidence since it deals with the subconscious mind. In a state of hypnosis, we can learn to relax ourselves very quickly and when we are relaxed we feel confident.

Your first appointment/session lasts approximately 75 minutes.  Please arrive 15 minutes early. Each subsequent session, if needed, lasts approximately 60 minutes. Couples, first session to 2 hrs and subsequent sessions 1 hr.

The fee per session per adult or child is $125, payable by cash or check at
the time of service. The fee for couples is $200.00. We do offer secured pay pal payments that will allow you to pay via credit or debit card.

HYPNOSIS FAQ

What is Hypnosis?
Unlike the television or Hollywood version, hypnosis is simply a state of deep relaxation. In this state, the critical factor is set aside and the desired change begins to manifest.

Can anyone be hypnotized?
Yes.  In fact, most people experience hypnosis several times a day. Daydreaming is a form of hypnosis.  Also, the state experienced directly on entering and leaving sleep is hypnosis.

What does hypnosis feel like?
Because hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness, or awareness, at no time will you be asleep or unaware of what is going on.  You will, however, be likely to feel more relaxed than ever before. A feeling of peace, serenity and wellbeing generally accompany this relaxation.

Will I remember what is said or done, after I come out of hypnosis?
Hypnosis is not an unconscious state, so you will remember what is being said and done.  If you have no apparent memory of what is said or done, this is likely to be because you were drifting and daydreaming in your own pleasant thoughts during that time.  Generally, with gentle prodding, you will fully remember everything.

Am I giving up control during Hypnosis?
No!  You will be in such complete control during the entire session that if anything is said or done that you disagree with, or that you feel is in bad taste, you can simply open your eyes and leave the room.  No one can control your mind, except you.

Can only ‘weak-minded’ people be hypnotized?
Actually, while almost everyone can be hypnotized, those that respond better are people with strong and active minds, capable of imagination and mental dexterity.  Those that refuse to be hypnotized, generally are exhibiting a lack of understanding of the subject entirely.

Does Hypnosis wear off?
Yes and No.  The state of hypnosis, being a relaxed ‘day dream’ state, leaves you when either you or the hypnotist ends the session, but theresults of your session, the desire to change, the ability to change easily, thesuggestions to bring about this change, will
become stronger.

Are there harmful after effects?
No.  There is not one case on record of anyone being harmed because of, or through, hypnosis.  After the session, most people feel relaxed and mellow, yet have a very pleasant energy increase.

Can I be made to do something against my will?
Absolutely not!  There is a safeguard in hypnosis.  Anything suggested to you that is against your morals, beliefs, religion, ethics, wants or desires will simply be rejected by
you.  It is impossible for you to be made to do anything against your will.

What about those stage shows?
Successful stage hypnosis relies on willing volunteers.  Those people have a desire to join in the show and perform.  Hypnosis merely helps them to lift inhibitions that they may, ordinarily, have against performing in public.
